God sent His Son to give us a new mind, a new heart and ultimately a new life. However, we can become so comfortable with how our former lives are that we can't fully step into what God has for us now. We choose to 'function in our disfunction' because we may be fearful or uncomfortable with what we're not used to. This sermon will encourage you to let go of old ways of thinking and to be all that God desires you to be. (Scripture Reference(s): Genesis 19:1, Exodus 5:20)

How do we know God's will for our lives? We can end up confused and unsure of what He wills for our lives when don't have an understanding of how He directs His people. His will may take us to places our own understanding wouldn't have conceived. God is sovereign and is able to use every part of our lives (yes, even our mistakes) to glorify His name. (1 Thes. 4:3, Mark 3:35)

How many of us can say we are living life like tomorrow is not promised? We often hold onto things that don't really matter in light of eternity. To be a Christian, sacrifice is required of us. We must let go of that which hinders us to live in the fullness of Christ, and rather hold on to Him, for He is the one who will lead us home! (Scripture References: Acts 27:13, Luke 10:25)
